scarfell and I had a fun time scavenging recipes off the internet and attempting to visualise what was supposed to be done with the bamboo mat. It actually worked amazingly well. I took a picture on my phone, which I may inflict on people at a later date.
It tasted pretty good, too. I think the nori is crisper with the ones from Yo Sushi in Selfridges but all in all a good first attempt. I did rather overdo it with the wasabe paste on one roll and nearly blew my head off.
Of course, I may be grinning on the other side of my face in 12 hours time if we've managed to poison ourselves!!
Completely destroyed the kitchen too. Ah well.
