Unexpected pressie?

Anyone want to admit to sending me the book "It's Not Grim Up North"? I have no clue if it's a gift or whether an Amazon seller sent me the wrong thing! If it was a gift then thank you!!

I would like to write a long news-y post about the last however many months since I last wrote a decent post but I'm too tired. I am so glad my office shuts down over Christmas and I have a whole week in which to gain back some form of humanity.

Oh, I just watched Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man's Chest, at last. Slow start but some highly entertaining moments and little quips. Just what my cabbage-like brain needed this evening. And, hrm, what's with this new LJ set up and compulsory title thingie? I liked it better before.

Why suddenly is LJ recognising my IP address as being an open proxy and not allowing me to post comments? I know that my IP is a NTHell cache in Baguely somewhere and it has been for years - so why the sudden problem?
