I am going to see Shawn Colvin on 26th November! Wheee! She's been on Radio 2 doing Tracks of My Years so I figured a UK tour might be a slim possibility. Lo and behold but she's in Manchester, Sheffield, London, Dublin and Glasgow. Of course, even though it's well over a month away, the Lowry was sold out except for restricted view so I hmmmed and harred a bit and decided to book Sheffield as it's apparently a good venue - the Memorial Hall for anyone that might know.
scarfell and I decided to take the day off work and make a day of it. This means I'll be able to take him to The Devonshire Cat, which has a fabulous selection of Belgian, Czech, German, UK and general world beers. My sister introduced me to the pub when she was studying there and I've wanted an opportunity to go back.
I am very hyperactive and excited now.
