I slept for 13 hours last night. I was so exhausted - I feel better but I really wish the niggling sore throat I've had for a week would decide to turn into a cold or just bugger off because I'm bored with it.

Yesterday was a good day, in that I rearranged my room in an attempt to create an impression of space and sort of succeeded. I need space and clutter just depresses me, which is ironic as I am a hoarder by nature and hang on to the most useless junk "just in case" or because I'm too sentimental to throw it out. Yesterday was different though, I went through boxes of stuff and either consigned items to the bin or shoved them in a bag to take into work for the Blue Peter Bring & Buy for their WaterWorks Appeal. I also went through the box from university that I hadn't unpacked and had deliberately left under the bed for *cough* 3 years because of negative associations and found that I could barely remember most of the stuff in there. So much for worrying about flipping out. So that got filed or chucked out as appropriate.

I also just sold my first item on Ebay. Last week I went through a load of my books and CDs and decided what I wanted to keep and attempted to flog the rest. I honestly didn't think anyone would buy The Pilot's Wife by Anita Shreve because it was awful! And this woman's picked up awards for her writing and I just goggled when I read it one summer because it was just so bad. Well, I hope whoever's bought it enjoys it more than I did! I also decided to sell two books from the Powers That Be trilogy by Anne McCaffrey because I've never read them again and they weren't my favourite books. I could get addicted to this selling lark. *grin*

All that remains is the daunting task of de-cluttering the desk. It's awful and I have a 4 layer in-tray on there and it's stuffed to bursting and there's paper all over the desk and books and a couple of tea mugs and pens, pencils, cds, floppy disks and a half-eaten bag of bombay mix. Gawd. That would be the reason I'm procrastinating on Livejournal, imparting these oh-so-interesting details to my no doubt riveted audience.

Ach well, better get on with it.
